Hospital bed

I see you lying in that bed,
Eyes shut no movement,
Pipes going through your body,
Breathing oxygen thats not yours,
It's happened again,
this time worse,
A terminal illness,
They cant erase this one,

No hair on your head,
A pale white face,
This is you now,
A boy who used to be so handsome,
Now in a hospital bed,
Now has a terminal sickness,
All the procedures,
all the machines,
How long will it be like this for?

I watch you while you sleep,
But i know you can hear me,
I know you want to hear me,
hold my hand one last time,
I have to leave you now,
Ill be back,
but you might not be here
