The skies are pebble dashed with grief
The grief of the left behind
Faces full of broken smiles and tears
Thats when you know youre always alone
Hope fills the homes in this town
Hospitals are full of deathly silence
Hearts are shattered beyond repair
Memories slowly fade away
Behind every smile and every laugh
Behind all the hope and joy
There are broken hearts and despair
Minds full of worry
And when you look out of the window and theres no-one there
When you answer the phone and no-one replies
When you could walk for miles and not see a single soul
Thats when you can be certain that youre always alone

We are sorry for what we did
But we do not feel that we deserve this pain
People say that the devil is evil
Yet you are the one that makes us live in fear
Maybe one day our prayers will be answered
