Sensory Memory

by Caity   Sep 3, 2008

I remember when your skin first met mine
It was only you holding my cheek
But this feeling returns to me at times
When I reminise when you speak

The times we were sat next to the flame
And shared precious diamonds of tears
Philosophising of our dreams and hopes
Talking though our nightmares and fears

Again and again our flesh meets innocence
Passing by as the missed opportunities
Im sure you have no idea what I felt
And the shivers your eyes put through me

I cannot forget the instance of guilt
And the troubles we may have caused
But the sensory memories of you and me
When all time and space just paused
