Landscape of my soul

by Goodbye   Sep 5, 2008

I am looking at you with sad eyes
You are lost and your wounds are unhealed
You keep walking on your path
You have no map, no compass but a promise:
You will be in paradise beside him.

You travelled hundreds of miles
To find a small suede in a desert
You bow there and look at the sky
An eagle flies above you
Wind blows the branch of palm tree

Your tears drop on the yellow sand
Earth sucks the pain your heart
You are alone in the Shadow land
Keep walking but no one is beside
You carry a burlap sack with you

-Your dark past put inside

I liked the title of this poem. Very nice. The whole poem is very touchy and sensitive. Liked to read this kind of emotional writing. Good work... good poem!
