They Can't Live

by Mishka   Sep 5, 2008

Sinking, drowning, falling
Unknown objects
Unknown sounds
Crying babies,
Needy old men,
Sinking in their miseries,
Trying to find light,
Only seeing the darkness...

Losing faith in
Everything they knew,
Finding sadness in everything
They do,
Showering in water
That feels nothing but wrong,
Trying to wash away coldness,
But still,
They're cold...

Dusting off their boots,
Dusting off sand and tears,
Get away, this sickness,
Get away, my fears,
They walk miles
Just to see the sun shine
They keep walking
Never once does it smile
They fall flat
Underneath the ocean
They can't breath anymore
How happy they are...
How greatful for this
They don't need anymore reasons
To have to live
