Life of Shame

by Misunderstood Misery   Sep 8, 2008

Headaches and heartbreaks, and backstabbing friends
who could have guessed that everything would end.
Living a life full of discontent and misery,
who will save me from its company?
Watching you love her and her love you,
is this how you wanted me to end?
Friends are gone, lovers have passed
and now all I have is my heartache and me.
Must I use this blade for shame
so that you will remember my name?
Who will love me when this deed is done,
since you won't be here when I say, "Please come".
Living this life full of shame,
hiding my face from all who can see.
Will I be missed once this cold knife pierces my skin,
ending this life that I was never meant to be in.
