Captive Words

by Beautiful Chaos   Sep 9, 2008

Blank pages mocking me,
Crisp, clean & white,
My mind muddied and swirling,
But nothing spills onto the page.

My thoughts are chaos,
Words and memories at war,
None wishing to materialize,
Ink, frozen in my veins.

Why must I come to this place?
My written essence paralytic,
If only for a moment,
The feeling is forever.

No tune or touch,
Seen as muse,
No anger enough,
To force it out.

Time will bring freedom,
Though the wait is unbearable,
To struggle with what you love,
Can only strengthen your passion.

I have to believe this,
As inspiration taunts me,
I know I have been here before,
It is here on this page.

I hate that feeling, when you know a good story lies within you, but you just can not bring it to the surface. you did a great job with expressing the emo tho!

So what's it... a writing block?? Sometimes thoughts get mingled when you think too much! And you can not have the clarity.
I liked your poem. This happens... very true.
