The day seems to know

by Deana   Sep 9, 2008

Sky smiling in periwinkle blue
Golden rods wave a warm hello
Trees sway gently,to silent song
The day just somehow seems to know

Butterflies flutter, wildflowers grow
Birds can't help but sing
Along the path of wooded shade
A peaceful falls refrain

Rabbits scatter,faintest glimpse
Deer watch with interest keen
Along the stream a cooling drink
In nature God is seen

Hearts see clearly by loves delight
Contented feelings flow
Joy fills the starlit night
The day just somehow seems to know

What a wonderful piece you have penned. The imagery is great.

    Trees sway gently,to silent song
The day just somehow seems to know

The picture you have painted with your words make me feel as if I'm right there watching the trees swaying.

    Butterflies flutter, wildflowers grow
    Birds can't help but sing
Along the path of wooded shade
    A peaceful falls refrain

This was my favorite stanza....I think the butterfly's drew me to it :) Just beautiful!

    Deana,

A very serene verse by you.
I love the repetition in it and also the line "In nature God is seen", because that is so true.
I nature we can see His work best, because it is unspoilt by human hands.
I truly enjoyed your beautiful poem, no doubt it will become an evergreen.

    Hugs,

    Ingrid 5/5
