Faithful

by Baine Willows   Sep 10, 2008

Plastic angels with paper wings,
They carry glass hearts filled with fragile dreams.
They fly when the air is tepid, or gently light with breeze.
Hidden they will listen close, from just beyond the trees.
Flitting far and fluttering wide, delivering for you.
They take your every wish with them, they know just what to do.
Among the stars they lift the hearts and raise them to the heat.
The glass will break; release the dream, a slender silver streak.
Just like a thread taken to loom,
It's woven deep in Heaven's womb.
Twisting, turning, spinning bright,
The dreams make up the starry night.
Until the day that dreams come true,
They fall in rain, return to you.

Great poem! I loved the flow and the word selection and the rhyming seemed everything but forced. Great poem and keep it up
