Running Forever From The Darkness

by BleedingxxAngel   Sep 10, 2008

A young female is standing there
The soft wind playing with her hair
She smiles so sweetly, in her eyes there's a spark
She looks so happy yet she turns to the dark

Her golden hair turn to a pitch black
The only thought in her head is there's no turning back
Her smile fades away, as hate fills her head
Her dress turns from pink to a dark blood red

Her eyes turn from baby blue to ice
Her soul is lost and that is her price
She is lost to the world of nothing but hate
It is time she realizes this is not her fate

This young girl is not meant to be here
In this darkness, living with this fear
She is meant to live in the light
But a moment in her past has ended the fight

The fight to bring her to the depths of hell
She kept it all hidden nobody could tell
The pain and suffering she was going through
She smiled so broadly, nobody knew

She stayed in that darkness
Only she knew her weakness
The way to get her into the light
The one who would;d take on that sight

She looked like death, so very cold
She was a loser, or so she's been told
They all laughed at all her pain
Thinking that there was something to gain

But she had a good reason for the sin
We could only look and imagine
The heartbreak and the loss
The love she gained but at what cost

Then in her darkness, she saw a light
It hurt her eyes for it was so bright
There was a figure standing there
Someone who would actually care

He stood there so brave, so she grew scared
Somebody was actually showing he cared
But she was still afraid of being hurt again
He had to help give her a chance to mend

Then her walls came crashing down
And a smile so big came from a frown
She would be happy, with her hero, her knight
Living a good life in the bright light

Though the darkness will always be deep
inside her, the light she can not keep
She had done things herself so wrong
Because of her the light will not last long

But for now she can pretend to be
Always laughing, smiling and happy
Until her past catches up with her
The running cannot last forever
