You said you'd always be there
You promised never to leave
I promised you the same

You said you loved me
Would never let me go
Now your thinking of leaving
Wanting to go far away

But what about our promise
Best Friends till the end
You said you'd never leave me
But you just go instead

My heart is breaking
At the thought of losing you
I wouldn't be able to do it

You can't
I won't let you
Please don't break my heart

Just the thought of it
You leaving me
Is killing
twisting
turning
stabbing
breaking
my heart

Don't run away
I can't bare to lose you

You know me
Like I know you
Best Friends till the end
Remember

please don't let me go

    I really like your style of poetry. it really is refreshing after most of the stuff ive read. i really liked the emotions in this poem and i can really relate to them. though i was the one leaving. you should read my poem. the songs of light and darkness. i think you will enjoy it. anyway good poem you writ

    Another piece that was so powerful with love. I too have heard those words of forever before and quickly watched them fade away into the darkness of the night. Excellent job once again 5/5 GG23...p.s. I'm not sure why you have this placed under explicit when there was no swearing or sexual content. If you place your love poetry under the love category I'm sure they'll get much more notice there :)
