Dance Show

by Forever   Sep 11, 2008

Though you see her dancing like
She has nothing left to lose,
You see her sad eyes glitter
As you hear her tapping shoes.

But then she jerks and sings aloud
You see fire in her eyes,
Why are her tears erasing your fears,
As she dances round the lies.

When you see him sitting there
Watching her dancing with joy,
What a strange man he seems to be
Oh, what a queer boy!

He smiles when she walks on by,
With ivy swishing round,
Roses on her arms and legs
Lilies upon the ground.

When you see her leaning back
To watch her close friend twirl,
She taps her feet along the beat
The dancer gives a whirl.

Her friend she swishes back her hair
And water falls around,
Glittering upon the air,
On the dancer with no sound.

Now you see him walking past
His eyes transfixed upon her dance
You see him smile, and all the while,
She slows and starts a prance.

Then you see him stiffen up
And wind blows everywhere,
Wrapping round her billowed skirt
And running through her hair.

And so you see the dancing girl
With fire upon her eyes,
Wind and water blowing by
As she dances on lilies and lies.

If you ever see her
Be sure to see her friends,
This show is ever-travelling
The show that has no end.
