STOP: before you read this poem I encourage you to write something (poem, short story, etc) including, but obviously not limited to these words: mile, ruby, pain, seed, dj foul, & mate. You only have 10 minutes!!!This was an activity we did in my poetry club. If you'd post yours on here, it'd be fun to see what you can come up with! Here is mine, it's kinda strange. It doesn't make complete sense, but it still works.
My cousin's name is Ruby,
She's looking for a mate.
She met this guy named DJ Foul,
They're going on a date.
They drove for just a mile,
On the road they saw a seed.
Ruby picked it up thinking ,
It would grow into a weed.
But DJ Foul said, "Put it back
It is not causing pain
Besides when you just picked it up,
What have you to gain?"
So Ruby saw his sensitive side,
She saw inside his soul.
As he dropped her off after their ride,
She said, "Goodbye Dandilion."
