I Loved you with a fire red, Now it's turning Blue

by Viola   Sep 12, 2008

The seasons change
And the wind is getting cooler now
The strings on this guitar are out of tune
And the chords are sounding rather dull
So don't ask me to explain what I see
When you're not here
Because I miss the days you used to read it in my eyes
You dream your little dream in velvet
Velvet red with all the love you gave
That was never quite received
The way you wished for it to be
When the morning blooms
I put on my scarf
Wrap it tightly around myself
In your absence
And count the days in my head
Till I see you again
As I walk every step
On the land we once used to own
Yesterday I was laying on the grass
In the park across the street from a friend's
And my hands were freezing cold
I remembered what I miss the most
Is how your hands always kept mine warm
Now my fingers turn blue
And I'm playing this tune
Forgotten voice in a forgotten space
Show me something I can't erase
Show me something I won't ever want to replace
