THE LAST KISS (A Sad Story)

One lovely night they were together

Wishing that those moments would last forever

They shared their love with all their heart

And show what they really felt inside.

In the midnight silence

The boy stares at the lady sleeping in his arms

Caressing her face with some thoughts

His heart and mind fought.

Tears kept falling from his eyes

Hiding the hurt he felt inside

He kissed her lips once again

Knowing it will never be the same.

Birds chirping and the sun was shining

But why was the girl crying in vain?

She looked for him around their home

Finding out she was alone

She went back to her room and found some envelope on the floor

Fast pace she made wanting to know more

Her shivering hands picked the letter

Her body was shaking, feeling colder.

Tears kept falling from her eyes

Showing the hurt she felt inside

She kissed the envelope first before opening

Hugging it while she's remembering him

She carefully opens the folded note

That once her beloved boyfriend wrote

Even though her eyes were filled with tears

But she read the letter with vision so clear.

"Dear My Love, the greetings of the letter says,

I can still remember how we've known each other

It was a beautiful sunset along the shore

I was alone and then you came along

From that day on I wanted you to be always on my side"

"We were very happy knowing how we deeply love each other.

I love you; I love you with all of my heart

But we just can't stay any longer

And we knew it from the very start"

"God knows how I long to spend a lifetime with you

That's what I've always asked but it just can't come true

I will leave my heart to you and will just say

We will be together in eternity."

The letter was dated 2nd day of August

A year before he was truly lost

Now she looked out in the window to the open

Remembering what really happened.

"My love hear me now, she cried

It was fall when her boyfriend died

I still can feel you near next to me

As what you've said you'll ever be"

"There is no one else that misses you more than me

In every minute I think of thee

My heart still beats so true

And forever my love is for you."

And in the breeze of silence

The boy hugged the lady in tears

Giving him his last goodbye kiss

And all she felt was his warm breadth.
