A blue day

by Orchid Man   Sep 14, 2008

Mother Nature seems to be very angry today -
- the wind is howling; it is raining and the day has turned dark
All I can do is sit here and think of the sunshine your face brings to me
Smile - then imagine I am lying safely in my Orchid Lady's arms.

Today I had planned on going for a walk through our forest -
- to see the beauty of its trees; flowers and to see your furry friends
But in this weather the scenery is stark and the animals are resting
Perhaps a little later the sun will smile again and the forest happily beckon

Of course I will visit our favourite wishing well and make my wishes for you
I shall wish for your pains to leave you and happiness to hold you for me
Then the wooden bridge will be next and I will look for your reflection in the river -
- somehow as it bubbles its way to the sea it will mirror your face to me.

As I look across to the mountains they are covered in a canvas of dark clouds
For the moment their mighty ridges are hidden from view - what a day this is
I can't even see the snow fields and wonder if people are frolicking on the ski areas
My flower, I wish you were home as you are the happiness in my life.

Gazing out of the window I see the trees bending with the strength of the wind
I wonder if trees have feelings and wonder why nature is treating them this way
Even the birds have stopped singing and are lying high in their swaying nests
Orchid Lady, please come home soon and change this blue day into a day of joy.
