When You've Been Waiting

by MidniteRain   Sep 14, 2008

When you've been waiting,
For that moment in time,
To be whole again,
To let go of the past,
That release of pain,
It hits you so fast,
You feel so alive,
Like you are yourself,
Maybe for once in your life.

When you've been waiting,
For that sensation again,
The climax, the rush,
That sweet agony,
Of falling in love,
Pleasure trickles
Down to your breast,
Surrounds you completely,
Heart beats out of your chest.

When you've been waiting,
So long to love again,
The anticipation, the wait
The worry that tears
The tears from your eyes
You feel their pain,
The tears that they cry,
It fills you with sorrow,
A deep longing inside.

I've been waiting
For years it seems,
For that moment
You'll be here with me.
What's one more day,
One more month, one year,
When I've been waiting,
My whole life,
Just to feel alive.
