Ravaged Glass

by Alison   Sep 14, 2008

Glistening shards sparkling
As daylight fades under the horizon
Lips caress unwilling skin
Two pairs, two bodies moving;
Against one another

Shrilling screams incognito, silence
Fighting to reach the piercing black night,
Not so lucky to escape
As the bodies hit the glass
Sharp falling stars hit the floor
Adulterated by crimson drops and flesh

A creed unable to be erased or forgotten
But etched forever in stone never to erode

Be it fate, or no fault but their own?
Trusting no one, but afraid to venture on alone
Paranoia meets Darkness at every corner
Never admitting the hideous shadow following
Horrible reflection constantly taunting;
Always tearing from the inside
Only seen in the reflection
Where diamond shards gleam ravaged red
I am alone in this house of broken glass
