Struggling

by Lizaveta   Sep 15, 2008

The wind blows directly into your face,
The forced smile causes convulsion,
Seeing others hiding in their sure embrace,
Your heart is oppressed with compulsion.

Cold air makes your skin insensitive and numb,
But soul is more vulnerable than ever.
This mountain of challenge seems too high to climb,
You scratch you heart with each endeavour.

The light thin coat doesn't give you warmth,
But don't let your hands shiver.
You know your heart will never go cold,
Even if frozen like ice is the cover.

You wish there was someone to hold your hand,
Someone to lighten up your way.
But all alone, go on and struggle, step by step,
Clench fists, wipe this only tear away.
