You sat there
All alone and confused
Thinking...why?
"Why?" you say?

Because of you.
I wanted to be there
I wanted to sit there with you
I wanted..! to be by your side.

But you weren't satisfied.
I tried all i could to quench your thirst
I guess it just wasn't enough
Having one friend.

You didn't wake up and realize
That i was your friend
Instead...you pushed me away
And now...all i can do...
Is watch you. All alone.

But one thing's for sure.
I never gave up on you.
You gave up on me.
And when you're ready...

I'll be sitting right there with you.

    I really like the message conveyed throughout this poem. I like how you go through the poem talking about this person leaving but then you end it with
    "And when you're ready...
    I'll be sitting right there with you. "
    It really packs a punch at the end becuase you'll always be there waiting.
