Diamonds back on her skin

by Crystal   Sep 16, 2008

She put his ring back on today,
Just to see if it still fits,
Only because she loves him that much.
She wants to feel the coldness of that gold,
See the sparkle of those diamonds.
Shes wants to remember everything that went with this circle of love.
All the times they spent wrapped in each others arm, legs entwined.
She wants to remember all the bad times
And why hes no longer at her side.
Why her life seems pointless, until she hears his voice,
Even though that brings her to her knees,
And springs tears from her heart.
Everything they ever had, ever wanted gone out of a moment of stupidity.
Not to return because hes leaving.
She tried on the ring to embrace her brokenness.
To give herself a minute of silence amongst all the screams that echo in her mind.
To think of what it would have been like on their wedding day.
But she knows she should and she should never have put it back on,
All really wants is something of him to stay with her,
So she knows that she will always be loved by someone.
Running her figure over the design,
She knows she wont be able to take it off,
And thats her undoing,
Hes her only weakness.
Yet she doesn't want to give up yet because shes scared she will never find this feeling again.
