Him And Her

by Shotput Girl   Sep 20, 2008

They sit
On the ground
Their hands
Barely intertwining

They watch
The sun peak out
From a sheet of gray

They hear
The crickets
And listen to them
As if they were
Playing their favorite
Songs
Everything is peaceful
All around them

She lays her head
On his lap
And he starts to
Pet her hair
A smile starts
To form
On her face

He's been there
From the start
Even though
She betrayed him
And his trust
She never stopped
Loving him

She watched as
The waterfall
Carried debris away
Along with
All her troubles
And sorrows

He holds her tight
Never wanting to
Let her go

The sunsets
And they look
At each other

She sits up
And he looks at her
With his gorgeous
Brown eyes
And she looks at him
With her sapphire
Blue eyes

She doesn't want to
Go home
Or have this day end
But she was brought home
And he gave her a kiss
Goodnight
