Circle of Credit Chaos

by bubbles   Sep 23, 2008

Well thanks to Blair, to Bush and the fantastic Gordon Brown.
Our superfluous income is severely going down.
And although I'm not sure as I was just a small upstart
I've heard Maggie Thatcher played quite a large part.

What a fine mess they've all gotten us into
Making us poor and even more blue
While they sit in their mansions beside enormous gas fires
Counting their money made from being such great liars

So what do we do when the money runs out
And the gas supplies are in serious doubt
And the ordinary folk are losing their home
And no one will now give us a loan

I can't heat my house the gas price is so high.
I can't drive my car as the fuel I can't buy
The airlines are bankrupt so in the sun I can't lie
And food is too much so soon I will die

My house was worth something a few years ago
But my house price is now the only thing low
A nice little nest egg when the mortgage was lent
Looking back now I should have just bought a tent

So what is the cause of this poor state of affairs?
It's the rich and the greedy, politicians, Lord Mayors
So the rich just get richer and the rest of us poor
Waiting for bailiffs to come knock on my door

Price of gas and electric is rising the same
So do the board of directors start taking the blame
They just give us excuses and tell us their lies
They pat their own backs and accept a pay rise.

So what is the outcome, how will it all end?
With us homeless and starving and driven round the bend?
Taking our lives when we think how we've failed
Our lives are off course and soon they'll derail

I just can't keep up, rate of inflation too high
Got to give up my car, phone, pc, tv and the sky
We can't afford fuel, food, electric and gas
So back to the days when there was no middle class

Can't even afford to lose myself in the booze
So no way for a day can my problems I lose
To the bank balance now, we are just all slaves
But what will it matter when we're all back living in caves!
