The music never stops.

Your arms around my waist.
i'll screw this up, i fear.
this moment is all i can taste.
but no one stands near.

your face is all i can see,
as our bodies gently sway.
when it's just you and me,
my problems run away.

the music plays,
reminding me time still exists.
i could go like this for days,
dancing in utter bliss.

we could be standing by a church and steeple,
not in a school dance.
we're surronded by people,
but i'm floating on a cloud of romance.

even when the tempo speeds up,
we're still moving slow,
your face, closeup.
i think maybe you should grow.

you whisper soft words in my ear,
i listen closely not knowing what to do.
but it's hard to hear.
"i love you"
