Still

by Erica   Sep 30, 2008

With a song inside my head
And its words beneath my feet
I am moving one direction
Down a crowded one way street

A lack of motivation
Motivates my feet to move
Watching cracks in deep cement
With thoughts along its grooves

Who walks this road beside me?
Will we ever reach our end?
Do they love the life they're living?
Or like most, do they pretend?

And me, I'm just not like them
I'm so different since I'm real
Its difficult to watch them
Hide important things they feel

Does god get disappointed
When we miss our destinations?
Are we all mistakes to him?
Does god ignore his "fuked creations"?

Still,
We pray yet go unheard
We run but don't go far
We wander down our one way street
And forget what shit we are

I liked it! lol, those ending lines in the last two stanzas are funny juxtapositions to the rest of the poem. I lose.
