Steady

by Kira   Sep 30, 2008

The wind howls.

I pull my jacket tight around me.

The bitter winds assault me.

I am buffeted by the gust,

Blown to and fro-

Always on uneven footing-

Always unbalanced.

Then-

I see him.

He illuminates the night like

The first dazzling rays of sunshine on my horizon.

His presence fills me with a warmth that

Drives away the invasive winds.

His arms reach out,

Holding me steady.

My light.

My rock.

My love.
