Daydream

by Roland Amaranto   Sep 30, 2008

Uncomparable, profoundly defined
portrait of being lost,
blank state of mind and throwing all of it away
promising of this world suffice the meaning of fulfillment
end up standing on the ledge of utter dismay

in those eyes i saw the arraying colors of light
and the wonderful sound of the serene, the silence
the voice balancing in the thin line of beauty
awe-bringing, lavish my senses in magnificence

perfecting the imperfect, hues of the fading world
in a manner only supreme beings do
yet and still, physically you manifest
in an earthly angelic form that is you

but as quick as the phasing of the pages
as inevitable as sands falling from the hourglass
it has approached to the end with graceful haste
like every fantasy, a story quick to pass

daydream ascended from ashes of despair
the breaking of my thoughts to the nothingness
twas this - twas you I'm dreaming against reality
an illusion, the sum from this mortal loneliness

uncomparable, profoundly defined
portrait of being lost,
blank state of mind and throwing all of it away
promising of this world suffice the meaning of fulfillment
end up standing on the ledge of utter dismay
