Without You (Acrostic)

by Kait   Oct 2, 2008

Willingly you decided to part your heart from mine.
Instantly my world was crushed into pieces so fine.
Take away every word you have ever spoken in my ear.
Half truths from your precious lips, were not what I wanted to hear.
Obscurely the puzzle of lies fell together in the end.
Ugly is this pain that no one could ever transcend.
This beaten and bruised heart, no one can ever mend.

You made a promise to me, you always said forever.
Obviously, you really meant a promise of never.
Unfortunately, our bond you cleverly had to sever.

*ACROSTIC: A poem in which the first letters of each line form a word or message relating to the subject.
-my message was, without you.
