Snow (Haiku-trio)

by Mr. Darcy   Oct 2, 2008

.i

Flurrying fine silk,
dusting the world, soft and deep.
Cold moldable bliss.

ii

Catch flakes on your tongue,
cold feathers melt to water.
Cherry face tingles

iii

Rolling snow around,
sculpting a jolly white man,
with a carrot nose.

These are excellent haiku's, especially the first one which is superb. But they are all charming. Well done.

As children we use to stand at the windows waiting for those first flakes to fall. So we could rush out the door to catch them on our tounges.

How could we ever forget that smiling snowman standing gaurd over our house on those dark winter nights. Waiting to greet us in the morning. The sadness we felt when the tempture rose slowly melting our friend.
Thanks for bring these memories to light once again :)
    Take care
