Forgiveness

by MyxPeacefulxChaos   Oct 3, 2008

Nocturnal night quiet and bleak,
Can't help but wish that you were here to speak.
I miss kissing the skin upon your cheek,
Laying here afraid to even peek.

The room seems empty and lonely,
The cosmos knew that you were my only.
An owl from elm tree yonder,
Screeches its call and makes my mind wander.

Silence seems deafening at times like this,
Sickness strikes my body for a single kiss.
If you read of my pain,
And would mend our broken chain.

I will be the one to listen once more.
I will be the one to open my heart's door.
I will be the one that will kneel upon the floor.
I will be the one to ask for forgiveness once more.

If the pain is too much to bare,
I will set sail upon tears we have shared.
My boat will make its way with each stroke of oar,
You will find me alone at some distant shore.
