The Handicapped Boy

by Malene   Jun 7, 2004

This handicapped boy went playing outside
It was summer and the sun was shining bright
he's mom was happy and filled with pride
Not knowing God would come and take her son with all he's might

The milk-man was in the other end of the town
Happy cause he's wife had just born his first son
On his way to Mr. and Mrs. Brown
the nightmare had not yet begun.

Mrs. Brown was singing a song
The window was open and she was singing laud
Her son, the handicapped boy tried to sing along
Happier than ever, his mom was so proud

The milk-man was driving fast
Knowing if he hurry he would soon be home
To see his first-born son at last
Uncomfortable, thinking his wife was on her own.

Mrs. Brown looked out the window
And saw the milk-man on his way
She put the paper down so she could go
To tell him to thank God every day

She knew his wife had just born their first son
And she was very happy for them
But also wishing she would have had a normal one
And still she wanted to congratulate him

The milk-man stopped the Van
He saw Mrs. Brown in the door
The handicapped boy saw Milk-man
and as usual he wanted to explore

Mrs. Brown waved at the milk-man
And he went to her with the same
The handicapped boy was now under then van
He thought they were playing a game

The milk-man said his final goodbye
and went, almost ran back to his Van
Not knowing soon Mrs. Brown would cry
Not knowing soon he wouldn't just be the milk-man

The handicapped boy was sitting behind the front wheel
His mom didn't notice him at all
She didn't know that soon numb would be all she could feel
She didn't know, soon she would fall

Soon the milk-mans life changed would be
It would all be a part of Gods plan
He started the van not knowing he
After this day would never understand

He drove about 10 feet
A crash waking everyone in town
What was this bump on the street
he heard the scream of Mrs. Brown

Blood floating everywhere
Under the van he was lying
All the milk-man could do was stare
Mrs. Brown couldn't stop crying

Since that day the milk-man has been unhappy
He can't forgive himself
He want everyone to let him be
He doesn't want any help

Mr. and Mrs. Brown
are drowning in sorrows
They know what the day will be like
Whats going to happen tomorrow

The number of destroyed life's
Is up till 5 in this case
Mr. and Mrs. Brown the milk-man and his Wife
And the milk-mans son who will never be normally raised
