Crying City

by Ares   Oct 5, 2008

Let me stare in to the presence in your eyes,
the blue shine of innocence,
with a touch of,
something rebellious.
it lets us know that we're here.
breathing.

i rush to the city where,
people line up to die.
at last i've caught up with you,
at the slippery surface of our lives,
it's a very good moment to cry.

let me stare in to the presence in your eyes,
as i conquer your heart and soul,
with a touch of,
something darker,
it lets us know that we're alive.
kicking.

i rush to the city where,
people line up to die.
at last i've caught up with you,
at the deep end of our lives,
it's very good moment to cry.

at least i've caught up with you,
doesn't matter if it's still too late.

I'm rather thrilled with your writing lately!

'at least i've caught up with you,
doesn't matter if it's still too late.'

have you met someone with blue eyes recently? They keep reappearing in your poems :D

    'the presence of your eyes'

and great main line to choose to repeat. Well done.
'i rush to the city where,
    people line up to die.'

this holds a lot of emotions. It's very profound and symbolic. Very quotable, and usefull for the meaning of the poem.

those lines make my heart increase in pace :D
