And then i met you

by JD   Oct 8, 2008

The sullen gray skies
fade into night
fall into the pools of tears
of yesteryear.
he maligned me.
the reflection of death
illusive on my mind.
but he saved me.
caught all my little pieces.
he put me all back together.
and then broke me all over again.
he deluded me.
led me astray
with illusions of romance.
he told me he loved me
when nobody else did.
and i fell for his foolish untruths.
his euphonious words.
i was just naive.
pressed pause on fate
and took a unknown path.
and he won.
he won.
and i lost.
i failed.
slowly i was forgotten.
just another mistake
another regret.
i thought maybe
that to rid this disease
i could spread this epidemic.
i became addicted.
now my sober heart beats.
but I'm a slave
weak.
craving.
indulge in me.
a knife lays close.
the metallic kiss of a blade.
to unleash my fiends.
conjure my fear.
of death.
then i met you.
