At My Funeral

When I am gone
Others will mourn
I can see them now
One by one by one

So many gathered
For one now dead
Tears fall freely
My family and friends

'She was the sun'
They might say of me
'She brought joy'
I'll hear them say

For though my body
Ceases its work
My spirit will live
In those whom I loved

Let it be known
That I did my best
To make the world better
Before my eternal rest

Let the world know
That life is worth living
However long we have
End to beginning

I offered myself
To those in need
I gave my heart
Despite its bleeding

I sacrificed a lot
To improve my corner
Of a world in chaos
For each precious mourner

So to those left behind
I say merely this
You are my heart
You are all my bliss
