Stardust: What love is...

by Linda   Oct 11, 2008

You know when I said I knew little about love? That wasnt true. I know a lot about love.
Ive seen it. Seen centuries and centuries of it.
And, that was the only thing that made watching your world, bearable.
Out of all those wars, pain and lies, hate.
Made me want to turn away and never look down again.
But to see the way that mankind loves. I mean, you can search the furthest reaches of the universe and never find anything more beautiful.
So, yes I know that love is unconditional.
But I also know that it can be unpredictable, unexpected, uncontrollable, unbearable and strangely easy to mistake for loathing.
And what Im trying to say is, I think I love you.
My heart it feels like if my chest can barely contain it.
Like it doesnt belong to me anymore it belongs to you.
And if you wanted it, I wish for nothing in exchange.
No gifts, no goods, no demonstrations of devotion. Nothing but to know you love me too.
Just your heart, in exchange for mine.

- I do not own this quote. This quote belongs to the people who owns the movie, Stardust. I merely repeated some of its words. Such beautiful words they are... One of the most memorable scenes out of all the romantic movies I have seen.
