Cancerous Smile

by Linda   Sep 7, 2008

I darkened my heart with shades of grey...

It thumps like the bass of a drum...

Nothing can heal this darkened heart as each second goes by, one by one...

As blood flows through my veins, the cells deteriorate...

Under the harsh light my tears dry...

My head is flooded with thoughts and history those I hope I will never forget...

My first kiss, my first love.

Oh how I wish he was by my side...

Sadly, as I place for the final time, my wig, my disguise.

I lay there and then smile for the very last time.
