I Can't - But I'll Try

by TheRedWomanAndherBagofLife   Oct 14, 2008

I can't promise you- my all- my new love
I can try but not hard enough,
I can't promise you my whole infatuation-
or my hearts full concentration.
But I will attempt to open once more.
I can spare you a room; where spider web creeper and heart curved sour.

I can't feel any chemistry yet my new love,
Only a simple connectivity,
I know you're not seeking any complexity,
Instead you want my adoration,
Layered with loving- temptation and
Strong-deep foundation.

I'll try to fund this new love,
that my cupid has brought,
Take all the past emotions and shove it!
Stop underestimating us,
Leave the negativity and all that fuss.
Give you a chance is what you have asked,
claim that you're nothing like my past,
and you will keep me away from feeling unloved.

One more glance that won't make me cry,
Hopefully we can reunite.
After all I can always try,
Maybe who knows?
Like birds we'll fly...
