Equatorial Moon

by Soulful Ensemble   Oct 17, 2008

...And I wait patiently for you
To kill the sob of the burning blue
That wraps around my chest like the moon
And then hugs me-- but I don't forget its not you
Squeezing love out of the few
Rats and bugs that don't know you.

I stop making sense before noon
When your eyes are far away, in bloom
And I strain to see them loom
Beneath the Equatorial moon.

The Equatorial moon doesn't cry for you
Thats a job saved all for me, baby
I'm so blue for you, you know it, too
My lady, come home and play a tune.

The tune you made was beautiful like heaven
I could listen to it from now 'til seven.
From now 'til seven and beyond I'll think of you
And I know you are the sun that bleeds truth.

Mi amor, te estrano como una mariposa
Volando sola sin ser una mentirosa.
Y mi mano mueve nuestro bebe en la cuna
Mientras que miro tu cara, que es la luna.

Your moonstricken smile collects my love
And swoops it to the sky as it becomes doves
That fly so high, baby, they all come back down
Soon enough to show us all the way to the crown
And my love will never turn brown.

I write you with love, with energy inside
Wishing that you were here by my side.
But you are close to me-- I feel you close
I want to take you in just one more dose.

Come to me soon, I'll see you there
Beneath the Equatorial moon with fair hair
That sings and dances against the wind that blows
Your beauty is something my heart knows...
I'm well acquainted and It surely shows.
