In Transition

by Megan Olney   Oct 18, 2008

Somewhere in transition
We became lost along the way
From the friends that we were
To the friends we are today

I never thought it would happen
This thing to you and I
I never thought you'd really go
I never dreamt I'd cry

I know I should be stronger
I know it's a life test
Trying to make us part
With the ones we love best

I guess that you are changing
And in return so am I
We can't be what we used to
No matter how we try

Everytime I look at you
At that pretty familiar face
The old you is gone
Vanished without a trace

But I like what I am seeing
The new that has emerged
Giving into this new friendship
I'm almost on the verge

Somewhere in Transition
We've almost found the way
Working on our friendship
Watching it grow each day.
