New Beginning

"I will not be defeated,"
I look at myself and say,
As my scars begin to fade
And I wake up to a brand new day,
It's my turn for a second chance,
It's my time to start again,
It's time to open my eyes,
Time to start fighting this,
Time to start to try.
No more searching because
Now I've found myself,
Once lost in a haze,
Travelling in circles;
Trapped in a never-ending maze,
But I understand now,
And it's all coming clear;
Who I am and where I want to go,
(Things I should have known)
I now, finally know.
My life is my own,
And it's time to take control;
I am going to break free,
It's time for me to be
Who I was always meant to be.
My fate is in my hands;
I will take my second chance;
My second innings,
This one I wont mess up;
