Rainbows Foretold

by InvisiblyHeartless   Oct 19, 2008

Breaking waves hitting shore
Disposing the past grains
The future rolling back out
Looking at him lying next to me
Sleeping on our blanket
Drifting into dreaming
His perfect little world creates
Piecing together blissful knowledge

My hand still placed in his
Dying warmth of the sun
Heating each separately
As the salt crystals change
The water to a murky beauty
Hope reigns in the green
Shadowing the future for us

Swirling blood of creatures'
Coloring the water magically
Passion rolling with energy steadily
The pink of the sunset too
Allows this feeling to set in
Mixing with the heat of orange
Creating a blazing fire called love

White forms with surface tension
Foam of crashing waves spreads
Purity flowing with this epidemic
Honest pain searching this
Vast open blues vary throughout
Creating an humble greatness
Crowning truth king with gold

Deep purples of the sky
Mix with soft pale yellows
Generating darkness and light
Like day and night, fitting together
Majestic grace and generous mercy
Glowing with an amazing beauty
Shining through the growing dim

Watching his face change silently
As his dreams carry on, I smile
Awe overflowing my eyes honestly
Knowing that I've gotten a glimpse
Of what my future beholds
Aware that the sunset doesn't lie
Reflecting truth from the surface
Of the understanding ocean

This really has a lot of imagery in it, I like it A LOT! You should use blood and darkness references or metaphors so much. A lot start out happy but go all depression once you tie those in....This is as constructive as I get. I dont like being mean.
