Jumping.

Running.
Can't you feel it?
Wind whipping your through your hair,
The ground under your body,
Colors blinding your eyes,
Speed overwhelming your mind.

Faster.
The edge is closer,
You can do this.
It's so much closer.
Get ready.

Push!
You're falling now,
The wind is cushioning your body,
There's nothing under your feet,
You see nothing but the water rushing to meet you,
You can think of nothing but the anticipation.

Freedom.
No restrictions,
You swim out further,
Your body is light and buoyant,
Your feet are kicking the water,
You see nothing but blue,
You can only think of freedom.

You turn to look at the past,
It's tall and shattered.
Broken like you should be,
Resistant like you are.

Your body is floating,
Your feet are weightless.
You see no boundaries.
You think only of independence.
