October Wind

by Kasella   Oct 21, 2008

Alone in the cold, afraid to go home.
She sits on the school play ground in the cold October wind.
With nothing more then jeans and a hoodie, she sits all alone in the cold October wind.

Two soccer games going on, the play ground is abandoned in the cold October wind.
Of course it's October, too cold for child's play, she sits all alone and there she will stay.
In the cold October wind.

The mighty oaks leaves fall all around, they fall because of the cold October wind.
The games are done, the spectators are home but there poor Julia will stay in the cold October wind.

The sound of gun shots echo around, another deer on the run for her life.
She longs for the day that she can go home, but Julia knows that's not how it'll go, she still sits in the cold October wind.

The sun goes down and the cold October wind is more then just wind it's more a chill.
Still all alone on the play ground, where she'll always be.

She cuddles up to herself in the little coved part of the slide to shield herself from that cold.
And tomorrow it'll all be the same, afraid to go home and Julia will stay in the cold October wind.
