What My Heart Sings

by stargirl49   Oct 21, 2008

The sun sinks low
and here I go,
falling in love with you again.
You had my heart,
then we broke apart.
I never wanted to see you again.
but now you're here,
holding my deepest fear,
don't you dare try to hurt me again.

I look into your eyes
and feel like I'm drowning.
Your deep brown eyes
pull me into their depths.
This feeling is so utterly new,
I don't know what to do.

I'm floating on the clouds,
surfing on the waves,
drowning in your love.
I'm swinging through the trees,
climbing every mountain,
drowning in your love.

How can I live without you?
How can I breathe without you?
How can I see without you?
How can I hear without you?
You're my everything,
every part of me is singing.
I never thought
it would be this way.
I never thought
I could love again.

Everything about you
causes my heart to race.
Your deep brown eyes
that light up when you see me.
Your mischievous smile
that peeks out when you get in trouble.
Your soft lips
that invite me to kiss them.
Your dark brown hair
that is a natural magnet for my fingers.
Your strong arms
that make me feel so safe.
Do you hear the words I say?
Do you hear me say "I love you"
in every sentence?
Get used to it, baby,
for that's what
my heart sings every day
that I'm with you.
