Message in a Bottle

Dear my distant lover,
I hope that you discover,
My longing from afar,
Though I know not where you are,

I only wish for you to notice,
My heart is like a lotus,
It beats at your request,
And never will protest.

Yet the person you desire,
Is never the one you acquire,
It has become so clear to see,
That fate meant us to be.

So I trust my message to the seas,
Praying for fates gentle breeze,
Hoping the tide of time is kind,
Floating you these feelings of mine.

If your heart has not skipped a beat,
And you are still feeling incomplete,
Pass this on to one as tender,
But please do not return to sender.
