Distant Memories

by raychul   Oct 25, 2008

I can taste our last kiss on my mouth to this day
10 days and counting as you slip away
Do you see us in your future?
We both think of revenge as we're increasingly realizing we're immature
We both try to hide our glances and pretend
We pretend this never happened and that there was really no end
I want to escape you and every thought of our laughter
There's got to be a reason for all these side effects that appear here after
Hand me your folded up note
It talks about a new beginning and a better person you're trying to promote
The pictures of you and me, they remain, I can't go without
But they all seem to be more faced down or X'ed out
My memories of our nights together are fading slowly by
I won't think of a thing related to you and I till maybe late July
You won't appear back into my life until September and you'll find someone new
We move on with our lives and realize our distant memories may not have been true
It always seems to be an ending that's tragically tragic
We'll both realize our glances and return to our normally abnormal commitment
