Summer

by Raychel   Oct 25, 2008

Do you remember back to the summer?
It was like daylight wouldn't die.
It always seemed to stay light out,
In these Michigan skies.

Back to the days when we spent everything together,
We shared our hearts, our time,
I can't remember when we weren't with each other,
It seemed you were only mine.

Now you're away, so far away,
And I'm left here to wait.
It's getting harder to sit here,
As it's getting so late.

Lace your fingers in mine babe,
As tonight really will turn to night.
I need to feel you here,
As fall demolishes the last of the light.

You have interesting ideas! the poem expressed clearly how much you missed the times when everything was perfect!

When ones are in love, time dies in a pause and everything around seems unique and different.
The gap you feel is clear and how much youre nostalgic to the old days.

You expressed hope and faith in him by askin him to lace his fingers. I thought this was really nice and smooth.
