Rusted Necklace Clasp, Just Barely Holding On

by BrokenREALiTy   Oct 29, 2008

I'm secretly breathing for you right now,
running lines with a messed up knee for you.
And I know I can get a little repetitive but
I promise I'll start making sense in a few kisses.
Do you remember when you told me that
the dream you want is literally impossible?
Well if you're ridiculous then I guess I am, too,
because if the most amazing person in the world
can't even attain their dreams--who am I?
I wake myself each weekday morning for you,
though dreaming's just a little better than reality,
the warmth of your rough hands in mine are worth the trouble.
And I'm swinging hearts every time you turn away,
screaming at you outrageously with my blase eyes.
Though I know no matter how many times I try,
your lips will never come to recognize:
I'm a baroness every time I'm lying in your arms,
submissive to the fairy tales I never truly knew.
But if this is what every girl dreams of when she's little,
it seems my itinerary's just a tad overdue.
