I can't keep telling myself,
that everything is okay.
It won't make my problems,
magically go away.
I have to face the truth,
if I want to overcome the lies.
If you're looking for sympathy,
you won't find it in my eyes.
To have come so far,
through the fires of hell.
I must have some hope,
to be coping so well.
Ignorance is bliss,
or so they say...
It accomplishes nothing,
at the end of the day.
I've got to stop walking,
paths that lead to nowhere.
I have to open my eyes,
to see what's really there.
Because if I ever want,
to make my problems go away.
