Come Home

This is such a sad yet beautiful piece.

I whisper to the stars
In hopes they'll hear my cry
Their glow to reunite us
Before my heart does die

This stanza really reached deep inside and grabbed my heart. How many of us make wishes on stars. I'm sure this will touch many readers. This is a prayer of mine to be reunited with someone. As the years pass it seems as if it will never happen.

Beloved you have lingered
Too long within this fight
My skin it aches to feel your touch
My eyes to see your light

I have read this many times and everytime it brings tears to my eyes. The longing to feel the touch of love again.

A prayer to bring you back to me
To keep you safe from death
A dream to hold you close to me
Before the final breath

Your talent is really shining with this poem. I loved the ending.
